This morning we will take you for full day Kathmandu City tour. The Pashupatinath Temple is a famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Pashupatinath and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River 5 kilometres north-east of Kathmandu Valley in the eastern city of Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. This temple is considered one of the sacred temples of Hindu faith .The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. This temple complex is on UNESCO World Heritage Sites's list Since 1979. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river". We then continue to the holiest shrine for the Buddhist culture in Nepal, Bouddhanath, with its large stupa, this is the place where Buddhists devout come for a pilgrimage. Post that we take you for a visit to Budhanilkantha. Budhanilkantha Temple, located in Budhanilkantha, Nepal, is a Hindu open air temple dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu. Budhanilkantha Temple is situated below the Shivapuri Hill at the northern end of the Kathmandu valley. and can be identified by a large reclining statue of Lord Mahavishnu. You will then go to Swayambhunath the golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhu stupa is adorned with a colorful fluttering of prayer flags; it crowns a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley and offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu. Drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is 210 kms from Kathmandu and is a 7 hours drive approx. From Pokhara town (2,352 feet) in good weather there are splendid views right from the hotel. On the way you have an option at an extra cost of doing the river rafting or visit the Manakamana Temple “ Goddess of Fulfilling Wishes” where you are taken by a cable ride of 10 mins ( Inr. 525 per person for the cable car tickets if required ). This morning you can take optional tour to Sarangkot. Sarangkot is the most popular tourist destination from where the tourist can enjoy the great view of the Pokhara Valley and the magnificent view of the mountains. Sarangkot is only 13 kms from Lake Side, Pokhara. Sarangkot is the highest view point for a sunrise and it is just 1592m high. Sarangkot is cooler than Pokhara. Sarangkot can be reached easily by 45 to 60 minutes by a car ride to the top from Pokhara. Many tourists come to Sarangkot for sunrise view and go back.Come back to hotel for breakfast. Post that we visit Bindebasini Temple. This is one of the oldest temples in Pokhara was a part of Kaski Kingdom, the main deity of the temple,Goddess Durga, was brought from India . Apart from the peace and tranquility that can be felt in this region, the premises of the temple offers a good view of the Himalaya on a clear day. The temple is in the area of the bazaar, hence,a journey of the old bazaar can be combined with a visit to the temple. Sightseeing to Devi’s fall, also known as Patale Chango is an awesome waterfall lying 2 km southwest of Pokhara. During summer and rainy season, the waterfall takes its real form, with gushing water splashing and making its way through the rocks. Just opposite of Devi’s fall, on the other side of the road, there is Gupteshwor Cave. We also take a visit to Seti River. The roaring Seti River passes right through Pokhara, but you won’t see it unless you go looking. The river has carved a deep, narrow chasm through the middle of town, turning the water milky white in the process.Post that we take you 1 hour boating program in Phewa lake. is a freshwater lake in Nepal formerly called Baidam Tal located in the south of the Pokhara Valley that includes Pokhara city; parts of Sarangkot and Kaskikot. The lake is stream-fed but a dam regulates the water reserves, therefore, the lake is classified as semi-natural freshwater lake. It is the second largest lake in Nepal. The Tal Barahi Temple is situated on an island in the lake where we give you few minutes stop to do darshan and photography. Overnight at hotel.
Drive to Chitwan. Chitwan is 180 Km & is a 04-05 hours drive from Pokhara. Overnight at hotel.
Today we explore Chitwan National park. The highlight being the Elephant Safari in the jungle. The national park area of Sauraha is most suitable for elephant ride. Elephant ride is also the safest way to enter the jungle while one can observe wild animals and birds from up close. One can enter the dense forest of Sauraha and view the wildlife from close proximity during the elephant ride. It feels very exciting and novel to move along through the quiet forest listening to the sound of wild birds singing from on top of the elephant back. There is also a slogan "Visit Chitwan, Ride Elephant" popularized for promotion of tourism in Sauraha. Four persons can ride an elephant at one time. Canoeing : Float down the picturesque Rapti river enjoying beautiful views of the Himalayan foothills and spot innumerable rhinoceroses, gharials and birdlife. Get a chance to spot Chitwan’s rich diversity of wild life including One horned rhinos, wild boar, spotted and hog deer, Mugger crocodiles and Gharials basking on banks, storks, ducks, kingfishers along with otters, turtles and if lucky, even a fishing cat are some of the creatures to watch out for. Other activities are Tharu Dance, Elephant bathing, Nature Walk and Bird Watching etc are included. Overnight stay at Chitwan.
Drive back to Kathmandu continuing the drive to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is situated 35 kms around 1.5 hrs drive east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175 meters. The panoramic view of the major peaks including Mt. Everest can be seen from here. This place is also famous for viewing sunrise and sunset. Overnight stay at Nagarkot.
Drive back to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur excursion. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is located in the current town of Bhaktapur, also known as Khwopa, which lies13 km east of Kathmandu. While the complex consists of at least four distinct squares (Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square),[3] the whole area is informally known as the Bhaktapur Durbar Square and is a highly visited site in the Kathmandu Valley. Post tour we transfer you to hotel. Rest day at leisure on your own. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Morning will be comparatively free and closer to the time of your flight, you will be transferred to the airport in time to board your flight for onward journey.
